It is essentially the top layer of a cube on it's own. The 1x3x3 "cube" is also known as a "floppy cube". It twists and turns like a cube, and it has 6 sides, but unlike the standard cube each 3x1 section can be rotated again to form awkward shapes.
It comes wrapped in clear cellophane.
